Happy First Day of Spring!

Mind you, it won't LOOK like spring here in New Fallujah until about...oh, June or so. I think it was last year that we got snow in May? Something like that.

Anyway, when I went outside this morning to start the car, I saw daylily sprouts peeking out of the frozen ground, and there was even a robin hopping around on my front lawn.

My mom had a lovely poem she used to share with us kids when we were little that still cracks me up to this day:

Spring has sprung
The grass has riz
I wonder where the birdies is?
