Cats are evil?

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) - Residents of the neighborhood of Sunset Circle say they have been terrorized by a crazy cat named Lewis. Lewis for his part has been uniquely cited, personally issued a restraining order by the town's animal control officer.

"He looks like Felix the Cat and has six toes on each foot, each with a long claw," Janet Kettman, a neighbor said Monday. "They are formidable weapons."

The neighbors said those weapons, along with catlike stealth, have allowed Lewis to attack at least a half dozen people and ambush the Avon lady as she was getting out of her car.

Some of those who were bitten and scratched ended up seeking treatment at area hospitals.

Animal Control Officer Rachel Solveira placed a restraining order on him. It was the first time such an action was taken against a cat in Fairfield.

In effect, Lewis is under house arrest, forbidden to leave his home.

Debbie Schlussel hates cats. Like, really hates cats. Apparently they spread bird flu, too. Oh and? She hates cats. Well, y'know what? I'm not a huge fan of dogs. Sure, I love, love LOVE other people's dogs (especially you, Zoey and Jesse, Maggie and Marty, Madeline - you know who you are. Love you guys. Big kisses.), but for me, a cat is perfect. No letting them out at 4am, no bathtime, no hiring someone to watch said dog when you go on vacation. Nope, cats take care of themselves very well, thank you. They're perfect. Especially Mr. Perfect himself, Isaac. He's affectionate, loving, attentive, loyal, smart. And cute. Did I mention cute? He can catch a fly, mid-air, with one paw, too. Very entertaining. Until you catch him licking himself, humping a furry pillow, or eating an earwig. Then I wonder what I see in him. Oh. And he doesn't like anyone else but me. And he tends to scratch furniture and leave hair on black articles of clothing. He also sometimes throws up in wierd places. But other than...well, that stuff, he's the perfect pet.
