Missouri's next!

Via Stop the ACLU, Missouri is proposing a state abortion ban.
The time has come for us to outlaw abortion. The time has come for these decisions to be made in these deliberative bodies, not by nine men and women who wear black robes," Crowell, a Republican from Cape Girardeau, told the Associated Press.

The measure would not become law, but would go beforevoters on the November ballot.

Crowell also filed a bill that would change the state constitution to prevent abortions and it would also appear on the November ballot if approved.

I'm not naive enough to believe this will end abortions, but it is at least progress. Specifically when it's put to a vote. That should be interesting.

With all the caterwauling and screeching about the Patriot Act - then to have it overwhelmingly approved by the Senate? Same caterwauling is going on about abortion, and I'll bet the voters will say "uh-uh. no thanks. Abortion needs to go away." I think that's why the libs are terrified to put it to a vote. Just my $0.02.

UPDATE: Woah. Georgia, too??

(by the way. Those hands in the photo above? From a seven WEEK old unborn baby. Seven weeks, people.)
